There are some rules that we have to adhere to. Based on the experiences with previous volunteers, some codes of conducts have been constructed. For example: no alcohol on the premises. It seems that it got out of hand on one occasion, but working with potential wild animals and being (somewhat) intoxicated don't go well together. So ... no beer at the campsite :(
But just the other day we had our day off and we decided on an afternoon in the shopping mall. I bought some stuff (candy, cookies, that kind of luxury) and then we settled for a good midday meal. With a beer! Tastes even better this way.
By the way: internet is just back. We had some kind of breakdown the last 24 hours.
Did I mentioned that in a week we go to Kruger Park for 4 days? For all the volunteers that stay 4 weeks this is included.
