Introduction to the boys and girls
Well, pickup at the airport went smoothly and an hour and a halve later we arrived at Dell Cheeta Center. After a moment of settling in we got the tour around the compound.
Currently there are about 6 cheeta's, two Cervals, a Caracal, two domestic cats (one beeing a mix of African Wild cat and domestic cat) and a groundsquirl and bird (which one? I'm allergic to birds ;) ). The squirl and bird like to play with eachother, and you take them both out to their playground. The cheeta's work differently ...
Already one of them held something against me. He's a male who has a problem with human males. This is one cheeta I will not be entering the cage with. The moment we walked by, he started eyeing me, walking up and down with me and at one moment jumped the fence right in front of me. At that moment they are very large!
But all the others are really nice, and immediately you c an tell different character and personality. We've been with them in the cage and I have hugged two and they like it to! Imagine a cat purring, but the sound times ten!
One of the caracals had youngsters but she's not eating and therefore the cubs don't get enough milk. Estelle (the lady of the property) tries to handfeed it, but it's an experiment... But such a tiny cub :(
Well, just a short one for now, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be somewhere, it's a bit unscheduled right now.
